A Real Degree.Real Skills.
Cockroach School is a residential AI-coding campus where you live, eat, and build software every single day โ while earning a UGC-recognised online degree from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. No fluff. No filler electives. Just Claude, a keyboard, and a roomful of founders who refuse to die.
This isn't a bootcamp. It's where you move in.
Every batch runs for the length of your degree โ 2 to 3 years โ inside one building. You're not commuting to class and going home to forget it. You wake up in the lab. That's the entire model.
Vibe-Coding, Not Vibes-Only
You learn to build fast with AI pair programmers from week one โ prompting, scaffolding, debugging, and shipping โ but you also learn why the code works, so you're not just copy-pasting your way to a demo.
Weeks 1โ8Claude & Agent Workflows
Daily reps inside Claude Code and agentic tools โ multi-file refactors, autonomous task runners, MCP integrations, and the judgment to know when to trust the model and when to override it.
OngoingShip Weekly, No Exceptions
Every Friday you deploy something live โ a tool, a landing page, an API, a full product. Fifty-plus ships a year by graduation. Your GitHub does the talking in interviews, not your resume.
Every FridayProduct & Business Thinking
Half our residents are BBA/B.Com/MBA students who build the go-to-market while the coders build the product. You'll learn to pitch, price, and sell what you ship โ not just write it.
Cross-trackReal Clients, Real Stakes
By year two, teams take on paid freelance and startup contracts sourced from our Hitech City network. You bill hours, miss deadlines, fix bugs at 2am, and learn what "production" actually means.
Year 2+Portfolio Over Percentile
We track shipped products, GitHub commits, and client outcomes โ not attendance sheets. Your degree certificate says GNDU. Your placement folder says what you actually built.
Graduation0600 to lights-optional.
There's no bell schedule here. There's a rhythm โ and it repeats until it's muscle memory.
Wake + campus run
Optional 3km loop around Hitech City before the traffic wakes up. Most people show up. Peer pressure works both ways here.
Breakfast, mess hall
South Indian + North Indian rotation. Standing tables near the whiteboard wall โ half of every breakfast turns into a debugging conversation.
Deep Build Block
Heads-down, AI-paired coding. No meetings, no phones on the table. Mentors circulate for unblock sessions, not lectures.
Lunch
Also when the BBA/MBA residents pitch product ideas to the coders. Half our best team projects started over a lunch tray.
GNDU Degree Coursework
Proctored online sessions and assignments for your BCA/BBA/B.Com/MBA syllabus โ university-mandated, campus-supported. This is the part that gets you the degree.
Build Sprint
Team project time. This is where the week's Friday ship gets made or missed. Studio hums, coffee runs, occasional shouting at a merge conflict.
Dinner
Rooftop seating when the Hyderabad weather cooperates. You can see the Cyber Towers lights from up there.
Demo Night / Roast
Three teams demo, everyone else tears it apart โ kindly, then not so kindly. The feedback here is sharper than most workplace code reviews.
Optional late lab
The 24-hour lab stays open. Some of our best-known ships were pushed at 2am by residents who just wanted to see it work.
The credential that keeps parents calm.
Skills get you hired. A degree gets you past the HR filter, the visa officer, and the relative who asks "but what's your qualification?" We didn't want to make you choose, so we didn't.

You'll live two exits from the biggest tech campuses in India.
Cockroach School sits inside Madhapur, in the thick of Hitech City โ the same postal code as some of the largest engineering offices on the planet. You'll pass their shuttle buses on your morning run.
Private & shared rooms
AC rooms, high-speed wifi at every desk, personal lockers, and a laundry service that actually returns your clothes.
Mess & rooftop cafรฉ
Three meals a day plus a midnight snack counter, because deep work doesn't run on a 9-to-5 stomach.
24-hour build lab
Dual-monitor stations, backup power, and fiber internet that doesn't blink during a deploy.
On-campus security
Gated entry, CCTV common areas, live-in wardens, and a resident mentor on every floor.
Gym & recovery room
Because the "unkillable founder" thing is a lot easier with actual sleep and a functioning back.
Metro-connected
Five-minute walk to the Hitec City metro stop โ the rest of Hyderabad is never more than a ride away.
WHO'S NEXT DOOR
Drive times approximate, off-peak. Hyderabad traffic makes no promises during IT-corridor rush hour โ you've been warned.
Forty seats. One batch. September 2026.
We keep every batch small enough that mentors know your name and your codebase. Apply early โ this fills from referrals before it fills from the website.
Message us on WhatsApp
Tell us your track (BCA / BBA / B.Com / MBA), your city, and whether you've written a line of code before. You don't need experience โ just intent.
15-minute screening call
No trick questions. We're checking for grit and curiosity, not existing skill. Half our top graduates arrived with zero coding background.
Campus visit or virtual tour
Walk the labs, see a room, sit in on a demo night if the timing lines up. Parents are welcome โ encouraged, actually.
Enroll & move in
Confirm your GNDU program registration, pay the residency fee, pack a bag. Orientation week starts the first Monday of the batch.
Still deciding? Just message us.
Real answers from real residents โ not a chatbot script. Ask about fees, food, seat availability, or what the 2am lab actually looks like.
